ABOUT
Chris began his art training at the age of 12 and has only increased his passion and drive over the busy years. He is heavily influenced by the early 20th century Illustration masters and studies and practices the craft with the same care and attention to detail some may agree is rare in the digital era. Chris works in traditional methods using egg temperas and oils. Finished paintings are digitized through either a digital camera or a scanner and yield the results contained within this site and on the pages of many books and magazines.
Please enjoy perusing the works displayed on this site. The site will continue to be updated with new features coming soon.

This year marks Chris' 21st year in the Art business after graduating with a degree in Commercial Art in 1985. While he consistently free lanced illustration through the early years he also worked in various related fields including advertising, trade show graphics and even created demonstrative evidence for the courtroom. Chris was retained by Fox News.com from 1997 to 2001 to be the political cartoonist and in-house illustrator for their web site. He did this introducing the novel innovation of using animated gifs instead of static cartoons. He also illustrated daily opinion columns. Chris sought more traditional illustration work and succeeded, illustrating the debut issue of THE WEEK magazine followed by 10 others in 2001, and since, a multitude of covers for The Limbaugh Letter and the American Conservative Magazine. Other clients include Bloomberg Markets, SpotCo, Forbes.com, New York Press, Island Press, University Press of Kansas, Presbyterians Today Magazine to name a few. He has won several awards over the years and has had his work displayed in some prestigeous places including four presidential libraries and his portrait of Bob Dole is now in the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics in Lawrence, Kansas.
